TALKING SOULS
Are we more than our bodies?

Talking Souls explores the fragility of human life. This interdisciplinary performance weaves together vocal expression, visuals and physical movement. It presents rituals that help us transcend tangible reality, restoring hope, despite our fragility.

This international collaborative production will be directed by Mandla Mbothwe, the Fleur du Cap award winning Artist Director at the Steve Biko Centre.

This new collaboration builds on the Unlimited International commissions which showcased disability arts at the Southbank, London as part of the Cultural Olympiad 2012 celebrations. The Unlimited International award winning artists: Rachel Gadsden - visual artist, Dom Coyote - musician and Andile Vellem – dancer will perform alongside members of the Abelusi from Steve Biko Centre - Ncebakazi Yeko, Sanga Mabulu and Nceba Gongxeka an independent indigenous musician.
