Followed by a panel discussion and questions from the audience.

During this presentation and discussion British multi award-winning artist Rachel Gadsden will introduce Al Noor ~ Fragile Vision project highlighting the ambitions of the project, her individual artistic visual arts practice and how Qatar University students can become involved in the project.



British Council, Qatar is collaborating with Al Noor ~ Fragile Vision, a multi-cultural project between UK and Middle East communities and arts organizations which will consider perceptions as to disability, culture, diversity and openness about impairment. An exhibition of artworks, animated digital films and an extensive residency outreach workshop programme in UK and Middle East, underpinned by themes relating to fragility and resilience, will be directed by Rachel Gadsden in collaboration with artists in UK and Middle East, promoting a blueprint of positive cultural values for communities and individuals who are addressing chronic health conditions and dealing with the politics and mythologies surrounding disability. 



Al Noor ~ Fragile Vision is created in partnership with Arts Council England, British Council UK, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, DadaFest 2014, the Museum of Islamic Art, Qatar, Qatar University, Al Ruqaya School, Qatar, Al Riwaq Artspace, Bahrain, and Liverpool Arab Arts Festival (LAAF).
